PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an open-type whole body radiation counter which limits an effective view range of the device by applying a collimation technology to a detection section in order to simplify a screening body as an open type and reduce weight of the device, so that the device is easily to be moved, transferred or installed and also enables an examinee including an infant, baby or pregnant woman to undergo an examination at ease without a feeling of rejection or fear.;SOLUTION: An open-type whole body radiation counter comprises: a detection section which limits an effective view range in order to measure radiation at an area of interest in an examination target; a detection-section moving section which fixes the detection section in a vertically movable manner so that it is possible to adjust the height of the detection section according to the height of the examination target; and a screen wall section which is separately installed from the detection section in an open style in order to sandwich the examination target with the detection section and also to screen out background noise in the effective view range of the detection section.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
