PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a martensitic stainless steel thin sheet in which the generation of coarse carbide is suppressed.;SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a martensitic stainless steel thin sheet includes: (1) a first step where a molten metal having a composition of martensitic stainless steel is casted into a sheet by a twin roll method; (2) a second step where the casted sheet is subjected to hot rolling at rolling reduction of 10% or more; and (3) a third step where the hot-rolled sheet is subjected to diffusion annealing at a temperature of austenite single-phase region for 2 minutes or more. The martensitic stainless steel sheet preferably has a composition containing, by mass%, 0.4-1.2% C and 10.0-18.0% Cr. In addition, the rolling reduction of hot rolling is preferably 80% or less.
