PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information transmission device of a non-open-cut drilling machine, which device can be incorporated inside a small-diameter excavation head and transmits various information efficiently from the excavation head to a body side.;SOLUTION: An information transmission device is disposed in an excavation head 3 provided at a tip of a drilling rod 2 of a non-open-cut drilling machine. The information transmission device comprises: a battery disposed behind an excavation tool in a tip of the excavation head; a drive circuit disposed behind the battery; a super-magnetostrictive element 35 disposed behind the drive circuit; an element case 36 for supporting the super-magnetostrictive element; and a vibration transmission part 37 disposed behind the super-magnetostrictive element and for transmitting vibration from the super-magnetostrictive element to the drilling rod. The battery, the drive circuit, the super-magnetostrictive element, and the vibration transmission part are substantially linearly arranged along an axial direction of the excavation head.
