PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outer-equipped reinforcement structure of an existing building, capable of aseismatically reinforcing an existing in-service building from the outside and capable of being constructed at low cost without being restricted by the position of a column-beam frame of the existing building, and a method for reinforcing the existing building.;SOLUTION: An outer-equipped reinforcement structure 1 of an existing building 30 comprises: horizontal members 31 attached to a periphery of the existing building 30; and a reinforcement frame 10 installed on the outside the periphery of the existing building 30. The reinforcement frame 10 is constituted of: reinforcement columns 11 penetrating through the horizontal members 31 and arranged; and two stages of reinforcement beams 12 vertically disposed and extended from side faces of the reinforcement columns 11 in the direction orthogonal to the reinforcement columns 11.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
