PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dwelling unit for multiple households, which has an opening, however, does not give an impression that there is an apparent opening through which residents can move between units, in an RC separation wall between individual dwelling units formed by a division of one large dwelling unit, and has good sound insulation.;SOLUTION: A dwelling unit 1, at least one part of collective housing is constituted of, for example, three dwelling spaces 3, 4, and 5, which can be used as individual dwelling units. The dwelling space 3 is separated from the dwelling space 4 by an RC separation wall 6 of which has an opening m as a part. The opening is closed by a removable dry separation wall 8. A storage room 21A with a door is disposed in one of the dwelling spaces, the dwelling space 3. The storage room has the dry separation wall 8 as one of its walls. It is possible to deal with a change in family structure by removing and reinstalling the dry separation wall closing the opening. The dry separation wall does not give an impression that there is the opening through which residents can move between the units, in the RC separation wall, which does not make residents uneasy, while a structure with a locked door for closing does.
