DESIGN COAT APPLICATION SYSTEM AND APPLICATION METHOD IN BODY FLUID ABSORBENT PRODUCT MANUFACTURING LINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To substantially eliminate discomfort caused by contact between a solid matter and the skin due to hardening of a hot melt adhesive by decreasing the application amount of the hot melt adhesive in a mass-production type hot melt adhesive application system in which a substrate is traveled at high speed in a body fluid absorbent product manufacturing line, and to improve feeling in using a product by heightening the flexibility of the body fluid absorbent product.SOLUTION: In a body fluid absorbent product manufacturing line including a process of forming a hot melt adhesive coating layer on the surface of a high-speed traveling substrate, the manufacturing line includes a design coat application step of applying a hot melt adhesive supplied to an irregular plate of a design roller to the surface of the high-speed traveling substrate. In the design coat application step, a number of belt-like application layers orthogonal to the substrate transport direction are formed by a number of belt-like projecting surfaces of the irregular plate of the design roller.
