PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-performance catalyst allowing decomposition removal of hydrogen peroxide and removal of dissolved oxygen even when water is passed at a high SV higher than 2,000 h-1 and the height of the packed bed of the catalyst is reduced.;SOLUTION: A platinum-group metal supported catalyst includes nano-particles of a platinum-group metal supported in an organic porous anion exchange material, and the organic porous anion exchange material is a composite structure of an organic porous material which includes a continuous backbone phase and a continuous pore phase and a large number of grains of diameters of 4-40 m adhered to the surface of the backbone of the organic porous material or a large number of protrusions of sizes of 4-40 m formed on the surface of the backbone of the organic porous material and has an average diameter of pores of 10-150 m, a total volume of pores of 0.5-5 ml/g and an anion exchange capacity per volume of at least 0.2 mg equiv./ml in a water-wetted state. Anion exchange groups are distributed uniformly in the composite structure.
