PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sintered member for insert which raises strength of a sintered member itself while making an iron based sintered member of a low alloy with little addition of an alloy element, and is excellent in adhesion and bonding strength with a light metal.;SOLUTION: The sintered member for insert is used being inserted into a light metal alloy, and comprises a sintered alloy which has a composition including: 3-5 mass% of Cu; 0.2-1.2 mass% of C; and a remainder consisting of Fe and inevitable impurities, and has a metal structure in which a copper phase and a pore are distributed in an iron alloy base, wherein a porosity of the pore is 11-22%, and in the copper phase, the copper phase on a surface of the sintered member is distributed more by at least 2.0 times by mass% than the copper phase of an inside of the sintered member is.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
