PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an atmospheric pressure altimeter capable of correctly offsetting even when an identical point has plural altitude candidates like a multi-layered road.;SOLUTION: The atmospheric pressure altimeter includes: an atmospheric pressure sensor section for detecting atmospheric pressure; an altitude calculation section that calculates the altitude from the atmospheric pressure; a positioning section that detects the position; a map data section storing altitude information; a sensor section that obtains information for detecting traveling means; a traveling means detection section that detects the traveling means from the information by the sensor section; and an altitude offset section that compares the altitude calculated by the altitude calculation section and a proper altitude value according to the traveling means obtained from the map data section, calculates an altitude offset value, and offsets the altitude calculated from the atmospheric pressure.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
