PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide gold nanoparticles having a high purity and a particle size distribution with a narrow width, which can be produced even without requiring large-scale devices and complicated processes, and to provide a method for producing the same.;SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing gold nanoparticles in which a metal plate installed in a liquid is irradiated with pulse lasers while performing scanning in such a manner that the laser spots are not superimposed on the metal plate to thereby disperse gold nanoparticles into the liquid. Also, the gold nanoparticle is provided which is produced by the method and in which ≥99% of the whole is 1 to 80 nm in a number-size distribution.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
