PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable all horizontal and vertical forces of an existing building during earthquakes to be borne when structural resistance of the existing building cannot be expected because cracks tend to appear, as in the case of a low-strength concrete building.;SOLUTION: A box-shaped external frame 20, which is provided with planes 22N, 22S, 22W, 22E and 22C of brace structure facing an exterior wall surface and a roof surface of an existing building 10, is constructed on the outer periphery of the existing building 10.
