PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an austenitic stainless steel pipe excellent in high temperature creep strength and steam oxidation resistance.;SOLUTION: The method for producing the austenitic stainless steel pipe includes: a step of preparing an austenitic stainless steel material containing, by mass%, predetermined amounts of C, Si, Mn, Ni, Cr, Nb, B and N, with the balance of Fe and inevitable impurities; a step (S1) of heating the material up to 1,190°C or above; a step (S1) of performing hot working to the heated material to produce a raw pipe; a step (S2) of performing cold working to the raw pipe so that a reduction in area of the raw pipe is 20% or more; a step (S3) of heating the raw pipe, having been subjected to the cold working, up to 1,230-1,260°C while raising the temperature from 700°C to 1,230°C within 1,000 seconds; and a step (S4) of uniformly heating the raw pipe at 1,230-1,260°C for 2 minutes or more to form an austenitic stainless steel pipe.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
