PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To alleviate a load of correlation signal processing by reducing a circuit size of an underwater object searching system.;SOLUTION: An excitation signal generating means 12 of a wave transmitting device 10 includes: a low Doppler sensitivity excitation signal generating means 12A for generating a first excitation signal whose frequency varies linearly; a high Doppler sensitivity excitation signal generating means 12B for generating a second excitation signal whose frequency varies nonlinearly; a Doppler modulation processing section 12C for generating a plurality of second excitation signals different in frequency ranges by sequentially modulating the second excitation signal; and a pulse train generating section 12E for generating an excitation-use composite signal by adding a plurality of excitation signals to the first excitation signal. A wave transmitting means 11 of the wave transmitting device 10 transmits a sound wave corresponding to the excitation-use composite signal toward an object 30. In regard to a reflected wave from the object 30, an echo signal contained in a reception signal is detected by conducting the correlation signal processing of a single-frequency replica signal and the reception signal received by a wave receiving device.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
