PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a solid body which can be made to contain a larger amount of PS ash by using a magnesia-based binding material, which has compression strength required as a building material, and which includes the magnesia-based binding material and the paper sludge ash as main materials, and to provide the solid body.SOLUTION: In producing a solid body by mixing a magnesia-based binding material and paper sludge ash, magnesium oxide, magnesium sulfate, and magnesium chloride are measured so as to obtain a predetermined ratio as a binding material, and the binding material and the paper sludge ash with an amount of 0.7 to 1.5 times the total mass of the binding material are mixed with each other, and are solidified with water.
