PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaluation device for a photoreceptor and an evaluation method for a photoreceptor as one embodiment, by which changes in characteristics of a photoreceptor can be grasped with high accuracy.;SOLUTION: An evaluation device 100 for a photoreceptor includes a charger 110 to charge a surface of a photoreceptor 10, a light irradiating device 120 to irradiate the surface of the charged photoreceptor 10 with light in different light quantities, and a surface potential meter 130 for measuring surface potentials of regions of the photoreceptor 10 irradiated with light in different light quantities. The light irradiating device 120 includes a plurality of light quantity adjusting members 125 for adjusting the light quantity of light irradiating the photoreceptor 10.
