PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object image recognition apparatus, an object image recognition method and a computer program for vehicle that implement image recognition through simpler processing than before.SOLUTION: The apparatus is configured to detect a relative angle (object relative angle) of an object included in an image captured by a back camera with respect to an optical axis direction of the back camera (S5), to detect a relative angle (reference relative angle) of a reference object included in the image captured by the back camera with respect to the optical axis direction of the back camera (S7), to calculate a relative angle (comparison relative angle) of the object with respect to the reference object, on the basis of the detected reference relative angle and the object relative angle (S9), and to store the calculated comparison relative angle in association with the object into an object DB to form the object DB (S10).
