PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for accurately setting anisotropic information and plate thickness information for the analytical model of a molded article capable of sharply shortening a calculation time without depending on a manual input.SOLUTION: The setting method of material anisotropic information and plate thickness information for the analytical model of a molded article includes: a developed blank shape acquisition step of developing the analytical model of a molded article into a blank shape by reverse molding analysis; a plate thickness information acquisition step of acquiring plate thickness information to be acquired by the reverse molding analysis: reference direction acquisition step of acquiring a reference direction in a developed blank shape on the basis of the developed blank shape and a parting blank shape; a reference direction setting process of calculating an angle made by the reference direction of the developed blank shape and each element within the developed blank shape, and setting the reference direction in each element of the analytical model for the molded article on the basis of the calculated angle; and a plate thickness information setting step of setting the plate thickness information acquired at the plate thickness information acquisition step in each element of the analytical model for the molded article.
