PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide gas barrier sheet capable of being used in combination with an exothermic encapsulated object and having a gas barrier property and a heat dissipation property, a method for manufacturing the gas barrier sheet, a sealing body using the gas barrier sheet, and an organic EL display using the sealing body. PSOLUTION: The sealing body 10A includes an exothermic encapsulated object 5 provided on a substrate 7 and a gas barrier sheet 1A provided on the encapsulated object 5, wherein, at least the gas barrier sheet 1A and the surface of the substrate 7 in the vicinity of the encapsulated object 5 are bonded to each other. The gas barrier sheet 1A has a heat dissipating gas barrier film 3 formed of diamond-like carbon, and the thermal conductivity of the heat dissipating gas barrier film 3 is set to 30 W/mK or higher.
