PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bathing care support device by which the weight to be supported by the device is reduced when a person to be cared is bathed and which can be applied to a facility where several persons to be cared can be bathed in one large bathtub.;SOLUTION: The bathing care support device 1 can be freely moved up and down in and out of the bathtub 3 and can be freely carried between the inside and the outside of the bathtub 3, while a chair 2 in which a bather seats himself is maintained. It has: a moving body 4 which can be freely moved between the outside of the bathtub 3 and above the bathtub 3 while maintaining the chair 2; an attachment and detachment mechanism 5 which can freely attach and detach the chair 2 to and from the moving body 4; a lifting mechanism 6 with which the chair 2 is connected through the attachment and detachment mechanism 5 and which can freely moves the chair 2 up and down; and an in-bathtub travelling mechanism 7 which is arranged on the chair 2 and makes the chair 2, separated from the moving body 4 by operations of the attachment and detachment mechanism 5 in the bathtub 3, freely move in the bathtub 3 by having contact with the bottom face of the bathtub 3. When the chair 2 is held by the moving body 4 or is in the process of being attached or detached to or from it outside the bathtub 3, the in-bathtub travelling mechanism 7 is positioned at a height where it can not be in contact with the floor.
