PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous casting method for a magnesium alloy which can obtain a fine structure.;SOLUTION: A molten magnesium alloy 1 is supplied into a cylindrical insulated casting mold 2. A cooling liquid 5 is jetted against the surface of a billet 3 which emerges from the casting mold 2. A space 8 is formed between the periphery of the billet 3 and the cooling liquid 5.
