PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake device of an elevator hoisting machine, an elevator, and a control method for the brake device of the elevator hoisting machine that can perform not only stable brake motion but also reduce a time and effort for manufacturing.;SOLUTION: A guide device 14 in a brake device 8 of an elevator hoisting machine has: a first outside magnet 22 and a second outside magnet 23 separately disposed each other; and a first inside magnet 24 and a second inside magnet 25 disposed between the first outside magnet 22 and the second outside magnet 23, respectively. The guide device 14 guides the displacement of a braking body 12 in a direction contacting with and separating from a rotary drum 10 while holding the braking body 12 by first magnetic repulsion power generated between the first outside magnet 22 and the first inside magnet 24 and second magnetic repulsion power generated between the second outside magnet 23 and the second inside magnet 25.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
