PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that has multiple functions, and is capable of efficiently starting the multiple functions.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes a CPU 111 that determines for every application time required for start-up processing with reference to a predetermined data, and then gives higher priority to start to the applications in an ascending order from an application with the shortest time required for start-up processing. The CPU 111 further causes a storage unit 113 to store a start-up order list indicating the start-up order of the applications, and then performs start-up processing of the applications on the basis of the start-up order list.
