PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car upper handrail device for elevator that eliminates the need for pin inserting operation and can be assembled at an upper part of a car, and an installation method.;SOLUTION: A car upper handrail device includes a left handrail 2, a right handrail 3, and a rear handrail, which comprises a left rear handrail 5 and a right rear handrail 6. A left handrail restriction part which restricts rotation of the left handrail 2 comprises a left handrail falling prevention member 4a which is inserted between a left coupling part 2a provided at an upper part 1a of a car 1 and a front vertical column 2e of the left handrail 2 housed in the left coupling part 2a, and can slide down with its own weight when the left handrail 2 is raised. Further, a right handrail restriction part which restricts rotation of the right handrail 3 comprises a right handrail falling prevention member 4b which is inserted between a right coupling part 3a provided at the upper part 1a of the car 1 and a front vertical column 3e of the right handrail 3 housed in the right coupling part 3a, and can slide down with its own weight when the right handrail 3 is raised.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
