PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily remove a document from above a conveyance passage when conveyance trouble is caused, while restraining complication of an apparatus constitution. PSOLUTION: This document feeder has a conveyance part for conveying the document up to a discharge table via an image reading position from a document tray. The conveyance part has a first conveyance roll 18 for supplying the document to the image reading position on the upstream side in the document conveyance direction of the image reading position, a second conveyance roll 20 for conveying the document passed through the image reading position further to the downstream side on the downstream side in the document conveyance direction of the image reading position, a third conveyance roll 21 for discharging the document after reading an image to the discharge table on the downstream side in the document conveyance direction more than the second conveyance roll 20, driving transmission mechanisms 91A-91F for interlocking these respective conveyance rolls 18, 20 and 21, and a document feeding operation member 94 arranged on a rotary shaft of the third conveyance roll 21 and manually rotating the rotary shaft.
