PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To notify an access node of a modified content in regard to the relationship of correspondence of memory areas between a logical volume and a storage device, without waiting for the occurrence of an error in the access node. PSOLUTION: A logical volume configuration information update means 1c modifies the relationship of correspondence between a virtual memory area of the logical volume and a real memory area in the storage device. When the relationship of correspondence between the virtual memory area and the real memory area is modified, a logical volume configuration information transmission means 1d refers to an access node list memory means 1b, and transmits to access nodes 2, 3 indicated in an access node list, update information indicating the post-modified relationship of correspondence in regard to the virtual memory area, having the modified relationship of correspondence with the real memory area, via a network.
