PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prediction method and a device for plant state variables, using a radial basis function network.;SOLUTION: The present embodiment comprises a prediction computing part 1 that uses a radial basis function network 13. An input value of the prediction computing part 1 is defined as: (1) a state variable having an effect on the kinetics of a state variable to be predicted, or a past time sample value of an operation variable counting from present time to a predetermined sample; (2) a present time sample value; and (3) a past time sample value of a state variable to be predicted counting from present time to a predetermined sample. An output value of the prediction computing part 1 is defined as: (4) a present time sample value of a state variable to be predicted. The radial basis function network 13 advances a sample cycle successively to predictively calculate the kinetics of a state variable to be predicted of the next sample time, based on the input value and the output value.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
