The non spherical containing silica grain which possesses multiple porous branching to be disclosed, and patent Claim. Adjustment possibility of pore volume includes the inside diameter which covers the range of 2 - approximately 50,000 angstroms. As for synthesis of the grain, the constancy in the reaction container or under intermittence agitation, the blend is generated in the silica aqueous solution including the acidic heel (heel) solution. Agitation can be accomplished in option with degree of adjustable speed. The additive is introduced in the blend at the speed which is controlled, among those the additive causes the pH change to high pH from the pH where the blend is low, precipitation of the containing silica grain is induced. It is possible to introduce the metal dopant into the grain in option, and/or the external surface which is laid out at least outside the pore, and/or while being laid out inside the pore, the surface can be adjusted.
