PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outer rotor permanent magnet rotary electric machine which reduces torque pulsation, noise, and size and weight, improves efficiency, and is inexpensive, and an elevator device equipped with the same.;SOLUTION: An outer rotor permanent magnet rotary electric machine includes: a stator composed of a ring-shaped yoke portion, a stator core having salient poles on the periphery in a diametrical direction, and a stator winding disposed on an open slot portion formed by the stator core and concentratedly wound around the salient poles; a ring-shaped rotor core disposed on the periphery of the stator; and a permanent magnet rotor in which rectangular permanent magnets are directly disposed on an inner peripheral surface of the rotor core while keeping a proper space from the stator. The number of poles of the permanent magnet is made to be P, and the number of salient poles of the stator is S, the greatest common divisor between P and S is made to be M, and the least common multiple is made to be N, the greatest common divisor N is 3 or more, the ratio N/S of the least common multiple N to the greatest common divisor M is 13 or more, and the surface magnetic pole width of the salient poles of the stator is 44-54% of a stator salient pole pitch.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
