PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broader concept output program and a broader concept output device capable of outputting a broader concept of an object word when a concept whose entry word is the object word is not included in a concept dictionary.SOLUTION: A broader-concept output device 1 comprises: expression receiving means 100 that receives a phrase; relevant word search means 101 that calculates a relevancy between the phrase received by the expression receiving means 100 and a relevant phrase, and searches a relevant word from the relevant phrase based on the relevancy; partial tree creating means 102 that extracts a concept which has a relevant word as an entry word based on a concept dictionary 111, extracts a broader concept of the extracted concept based on the concept dictionary 111, and creates a partial tree 20 which is constituted by the relevant word, the broader concept and a connection between the concepts; relevancy calculating means 103 that calculates a score of the broader concept from the relevancy based on a coefficient associated with connection mode of the concept; and concept output means 104 that outputs a broader concept which has a larger score.
