PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low carbon steel for machine structures, which improves component properties such as fatigue strength and impact strength and is suitable to friction pressure welding; to provide a method for producing the same; and to provide a friction pressure-welded component.;SOLUTION: The structure of a low carbon steel member having a specified composition including solid solution [Ti] is subjected to specified heat treatment to obtain a new mixed phase structure in which ferrite grains are made larger than pearlite grains, so that the component characteristics such as fatigue strength and impact strength of a composite steel or a composite steel component in which the low carbon steel is friction pressure welded with the other steel are improved.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
