PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evaluate tire performance of tire models which are combinations of several kinds of tire bodies and several kinds of tread patterns.SOLUTION: A tire performance simulation method includes steps of: creating several kinds of tire body models consisting of a plurality of elements prepared by finite element discretization of the tire body (Step 100); creating several kinds of tread pattern models consisting of a plurality of elements prepared by the finite element discretization of the tread pattern (Step 102); compounding one of the tire body models and one of the tread pattern models (Step 104); creating a road surface model (Step 106); calculating a deformation of the created tire model (Step 108); estimating tire performance based on the result of the deformation calculation of the tire model (Step 110-114); outputting the calculation result (Step 116); and repeating the above steps for each combination of the several kinds of the tire body models and the several kinds of the tread pattern models.
