PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an easy search for a map without troubling a user.;SOLUTION: A search request for a map including map image information obtained by, for example, photographing a map is accepted via a communication I/F 102. A search feature point extraction unit 103 analyzes the accepted map image information to form search feature point information indicating a position of a prescribed feature point on the photographed map. A feature point matching unit 5 performs matching processing between the search feature point information and map feature point information in a map feature point DB 113 to specify a candidate of a place on a prescribed map matching the search feature point information.
