PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To contrive cost reduction and downsizing of a device for estimating a battery remaining amount while keeping high accuracy.SOLUTION: The device for estimating the battery remaining amount includes: a capacitor 14 which is connected in parallel with a load 16 of a battery 11; a voltage holding circuit 12; and a control part 13. The voltage holding circuit 12 holds voltage corresponding to output voltage of the battery 11 when voltage drop is generated resulting from charge current which flows from the battery 11 to the capacitor 14. The control part 13 controls execution of processing for estimating the battery remaining amount of the battery 11, namely, battery remaining amount estimation processing based on the voltage held by the voltage holding circuit 12. In other words, the device for estimating the battery remaining amount of such a configuration estimates the battery remaining amount of the battery 11 based on the voltage drop of the battery 11 resulting from a dummy load of the battery 11 by considering the load by the charge current of the capacitor 14 as the dummy load.
