PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition having viscosity properties of highly developing viscosity and reducing viscosity with increased shear rates, particularly a resin composition having viscosity properties of developing viscosity in the aqueous coating material containing a surface active agent and reducing viscosity with increased shear rates.;SOLUTION: The resin composition is obtained by allowing 60-99 mass% polymer (A) which is obtained by polymerizing a monomer component (m) composed of 5-100 mass% polymerizable unsaturated monomer (a) having a hydrophilic group and 0-95 mass% polymerizable unsaturated monomer (b) other than the monomer (a) and has a first chemically reactive group and a weight-average molecular weight in the range of 80,000-900,000 to react with 1-40 mass% compound (B) having a weight-average molecular weight in the range of 1,500-20,000 and a second chemically reactive group reactive with the first chemically reactive group in the polymer (A).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
