PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic/metal nitride composite having ≥95% relative density and a method for producing the ceramic/metal nitride composite. PSOLUTION: The method for producing the ceramic/metal nitride composite includes: a step A of producing a molding using mixed powder obtained by mixing metal particles with a powdery ceramic; a step B of nitriding metal particle by primarily heating the molding mounted in a container suitable for the enforcement of hot isostatic press process under a gaseous nitrogen atmosphere of 1-50 MPa pressure at 1,200-1,800°C while gradually raising the temperature to form the structure of a sintered body obtained by the heat treatment into a closed pore structure; and a step C of introducing gaseous nitrogen having ≥100 MPa pressure into the container and secondarily heating the sintered body at 1,200-1,800°C while keeping for a prescribed time as it is to produce the ceramic/metal nitride composite having ≥95% relative density.
