PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To capture and release gas by using an aqueous solution containing a quaternary ammonium salt as a guest molecule.;SOLUTION: A method of capturing and releasing the gas includes: a first step of bringing the aqueous solution of the guest molecule into contact with the gas, cooling it at temperature of ≥15°C to form the hydrate having captured gas and forming slurry with the hydrate dispersed or suspended in the aqueous solution or water; and a second step of heating the slurry formed in the first step to melt the hydrate in the slurry, releasing the gas captured in the hydrate and forming the aqueous solution of the guest molecules.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
