PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding method for an erosion resistant metallic material capable of suppressing a reduction in hardness of an erosion resistant layer in a blade leading edge portion, and to provide a turbine blade.SOLUTION: A welding method for an erosion resistant metallic material that is a method for welding the erosion resistant metallic material to a base body 1 in a turbine blade leading edge portion 1A comprises steps of: forming a radius R of a curved surface greater than a thickness t of the base body 1 in the leading edge portion 1A to be subjected to welding of the erosion resistant metallic material; and welding the erosion resistant metallic material to the leading edge portion 1A.
