Excavator with charging function and excavator with motor power generation function

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shovel capable of improving responsiveness of a driving source of each section and achieving energy saving.SOLUTION: In a shovel which has a charging function, at least one of driving sources of a traveling section, a rotating section and a working section is an electric motor generator to be controlled as a generator. The shovel is capable of charging a battery with: regenerative power of the electric motor generator when at least one of the traveling section, the rotating section and the working section is controlled to perform a braking movement; and electric power generated by a rotation of an engine. The shovel also includes: an engine control device to control the rotation of the engine mounted on the rotation section; and another control device also mounted on the rotation section to perform calculation with a preliminary stored processing program based on data from a voltage detection sensor which detects the voltage of the battery.
