PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state image pickup device of a global shutter system for boosting an inter-terminal voltage of floating diffusion (FD, hereinafter) for storing electric charges in a CMOS sensor and enlarging a dynamic range, an imaging method, and a biped walking robot loaded with the solid-state image pickup device.SOLUTION: The solid-state image pickup device of this invention includes a plurality of CMOS sensors arranged in a matrix shape and has a global shutter function, and the CMOS sensor includes a photodiode (PD, hereinafter) for photoelectrically converting incident light to generate electric charges and storing the generated electric charges, an FD part for storing the electric charges transferred from the PD, a transfer transistor interposed between the PD and the FD part for transferring the electric charges, and an amplification MOS transistor for outputting a signal current corresponding to the electric charges in the FD part. In all the CMOS sensors of the solid-state image pickup device, a terminal to which the power of the amplification MOS transistor is supplied is connected in common and a gate of the transfer transistor is connected in common.
