P To provide a wood preservation antiseptic which has an excellent antiseptic effect with an extremely small amount of a drug against various wood-rotting fungi, excels in economy and has a small load to the environment and a wood treating method. PSOLUTION: The wood preservation antiseptic contains a 5-methyl-2-trifluoromethylfuran-3-carboxylic acid anilide derivative represented by the formula (wherein R is an isopropyl group or an isopropoxy group) as an active ingredient.
