PSOLUTION: A device for determining the moving means of the user includes a position measuring section 1 for obtaining information including user's position and its time, a moving means determining section 4 for sequentially determining the moving means of the user based ON the obtained information using a certain period from the reference time as a determination segment, a recording section 3 for storing the moving means in the determination segment and a moving means determination correcting section 5 that corrects the moving means in the last determination segment based ON a stored moving means and a moving means of a new determination segment when the moving means of the new determination segment is determined by the moving means determining section 4, and stores, in a storing means and the moving means after the correction when the moving means after the correction is different from the stored moving means.
