PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly boot and raise utilization ratio of ROM even if failed in writing BIOS update data.;SOLUTION: A basic BIOS image which is a BIOS image which can certainly start a computer is associated with a predetermined basic BIOS offset value, and stored in a non-rewritable storage part. When updating the BIOS, not all the BIOS images after update but only the difference from the basic BIOS image due to by update is associated with a predetermined update difference offset value and stored in a rewritable storage part as an update difference image. The basic BIOS image is shifted by the basic offset value, and a first transfer is carried out to the RAM area. After the end of the first transfer, a second transfer is carried out to the RAM area by shifting the update difference image by the update difference offset value part.
