PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing appliance for bone fracture of the proximal part of a femur, capable of reducing inversion by suppressing the interference of the part on the proximal part side of the femur and an end part on the proximal part side of an intramedullary rod when the intramedullary rod is inserted into the pulp of the femur.SOLUTION: The intramedullary rod 11 is formed into a rod shape to be inserted along the pulp of a part 100b on the distal part side, and has a first through-hole 18 penetrating a side face. A sleeve 12 is formed as a cylindrical body, inserted in the first through-hole 18, and provided with the second through-hole 23 penetrating along the longitudinal direction of the cylindrical body. A lug screw 13 is formed into a rod shape to be inserted in the second through-hole 23 and has a screw part 24 to be screwed to the part 100a on the proximal part side on the distal end side. On the distal end part on the proximal part side of the intramedullary rod 11, an edge point part 22 having a tapered surface 21 facing the part more on the proximal part side in the femur than a bone fracture position when the bone fracture occurs in the femur proximal part is provided.
