PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a bevel gear to have an ideal surface quality with respect to all wave surfaces with the simplest means, and a software relevant to the same.;SOLUTION: In a machining method for chip-removing the tooth flank of a gear wheel having n teeth and n tooth gaps on a multi axial grinding machine, a grinding disc performs a plunging treatment on each of the n tooth gaps with a predetermined plunging depth. When the grinding disc freshly receives a dressing treatment, m (m=1, 2, 3) tooth gaps of n tooth gaps are pre-machined by using a predetermined first regulation value corresponding to the normal predetermined plunging depth at the first stage of the machining of the gear wheel. The remaining n-m tooth gaps are continuously machined by using the normal predetermined plunging depth.
