PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positioning fixture for a transition member which can position a transition member on a receiving die irrespective of the material of a blanking die and which is detachable easily, and also provide a positioning method for a surface plate using the fixture.;SOLUTION: In this positioning fixture 1 for a transition member, a blanking die (male die) 22 and a receiving die (female die) 21 on which a surface plate is stuck are attached to a blanking machine, the transition member 12 is transferred to the receiving die, and the surface plate is stuck on the receiving die using the transferred member as a target.
