PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color conversion method by which can reduce man-hours required for color adjustment of printed matter with a protective film, a profile generating method, a color conversion device, a profile generating device, program, and a production method of printed matter using the color conversion method.SOLUTION: A color conversion method includes steps for obtaining profiles IPand OPin accordance with printed matter 38; obtaining change information Info for a change in the gamut before and after the printed matter 38 is covered with a laminate film 40; and performing color conversion processing on at least one of printed matter without a protective film 43 and printed matter with a protective film 42, based on the profiles IPand OPand the change information Info so that the gamut of the printed matter without a protective film 43 matches the gamut of the printed matter with a protective film 42 which can be obtained by covering the laminate film 40 on printed matter printed by using the profiles IPand OP.
