PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film relax processing mechanism which is a film biaxial relaxation processing mechanism capable of relaxing a film in a carrying direction and can be formed with smaller number of parts with a simpler structure.SOLUTION: The film relaxation processing mechanism includes: a truck 3 which moves holding an end part of the film 1; a guide rail 18 which has a first surface 21 and a second surface 23 being located at an opposite side to the first surface 21 and guides the truck 3 while the first surface 21 and the truck 3 being carried out slide contact; and a chain 2 bendably provided to connect a plurality of trucks 3 separated with spacing in the advance direction of the track 3. The film relaxation processing mechanism further includes: a first roller 24 which is provided on the truck 3 and revolves while contacting the first surface 21 of the guide rail 18; and a first roller 22 which is provided in the chain 2 without being fixed to the truck 3 and revolves while contacting to the second surface 23 of the guide rail 18, wherein the guide rail 18 has parts different in spacing from the first surface 21 and the second surface 23.
