P To provide a piping unit, a saddle type branch joint capable of providing this piping unit, and a vertical pipe piping method of a multistory building using the piping unit, for safely performing piping work in a small number of people, without hitching ON a peripheral edge part of a through-sleeve and even if a pipe diameter is thickened. PSOLUTION: This saddle type branch joint 12 has a saddle part and a branch part for inserting a metallic cylinder and connected with a branch pipe. The branch part projects from a connecting surface to a pipe of the saddle part in a part including at least a part of the metallic cylinder. The piping unit 1a is formed of a long size flexible resin pipe 11 and a plurality of saddle type branch joints 12 fixed at a pitch equivalent to the one floor height of the multistory building to this flexible resin pipe 11.
