PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely predict the possibility of production of large lump of clinker ash and to inhibit adhesion of ash in order to stably operate a boiler. PSOLUTION: The composition of an ash component of each solid fuel planned to be used in the boiler is measured to compute the ratio of slag (S1), it is evaluated whether the large lump of the clinker ash is produced or not based on the iron component content and slag ratio in the composition of the ash component (S2) and the first reference value of the iron component content and the second reference value of the slag ratio in which the production of the large lump of the clinker ash is reduced are computed (S3). In the case when one kind of the solid fuel is used, the solid fuel having the iron component content equal to or below the first reference value and the slag ratio equal to or below the second reference value is selected. In a case when a plurality of kinds of the solid fuel are used, the mixing ratio of each solid fuel is computed (S4) so that the mixed iron component content is equal to below the first reference value and the slag ratio of the solid fuel is equal to or below the determined second reference value and the mixed solid fuel is supplied as the fuel (S5).
