PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate handling of a member, which is attached to a lateral portion of a beam of an existing building when the beam is reinforced before a through-hole is provided in the beam, by reducing the weight of the member.;SOLUTION: This method for reinforcing the beam includes: a step of providing a first interval toward each end portion of a lateral portion of the beam to an drilling area thereof, of providing a first non-through-hole in a first position in which a second interval longer than the first interval is provided upward, and of providing a second non-through-hole in a second position in which the second interval is provided downward; a step of providing the first interval in each of upward and downward directions from the drilling area, of providing a third non-through-hole in a third position in which the second interval is provided toward a portion at one end, and of providing a fourth non-through-hole in a fourth position in which the second interval is provided toward a portion at the other end; a step of inserting one end of a first reinforcement into the first non-through-hole, of inserting the other end thereof into the second non-through-hole, and of fixing each end to the inside of the beam; and a step of inserting one end of a second reinforcement into the third non-through-hole, of inserting the other end thereof into the fourth non-through-hole, and of fixing each end to the inside of the beam.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
